Ice Puffins is a non-profit recreational hockey program just for girls—where fun comes first.
Our sessions blend creativity, confidence-building, and purposeful development through playful skating games, puck-handling challenges, and age-appropriate hockey activities with a fun twist. Every drill is designed to keep kids engaged, spark their love for the game, and help them grow as players—while having a blast on the ice.

At Ice Puffins, we offer a fun, accessible hockey experience designed just for girls—without the heavy time commitment or high costs of traditional leagues.
Our shorter seasons make it easy for families to fit hockey into their lives, and our lower fees mean more kids can play. It’s a fresh approach that keeps things flexible, fun, and inclusive—perfect for families who want something different from the usual all-in model.
We focus on fun-first skill development through imaginative activities that spark curiosity and build confidence. Session include a mix of creative drills, small-area games, and unique hockey game formats tailored to each groups age, interests, and skill level.
Every activity is designed to boost puck touches, sharpen decision-making, and keep kids fully engaged. It’s a high-energy, supportive space where girls can learn and grow through play.
We also keep our groups small so coaches can truly connect with each child, make them feel welcome, and help friendships grow alongside hockey skills—and we strive to hire young female coaches to inspire the next generation both on and off the ice.
At Ice Puffins, we’re not just building players—we’re building a community where girls can fall in love with hockey and keep loving it, season after season.
